Jenny is a board certified licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist in NY state. She has a masters in science degree in Oriental Medicine from the NY college of Health Professions in Syosset, NY where she graduated from in 2006.
She is board certified by the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine, and specializes in the treatment of male and female infertility, and gynecologic conditions.
While her special interest is in treating infertility, she has extensive knowledge and experience in treating digestive disorders, anxiety, cosmetic acupuncture and using acupuncture to aid in weight loss.
Jenny cultivated her skills as a caregiver prior to her career in Chinese Medicine, as a licensed veterinary technician. She learned to understand her patient’s condition by sight and touch, without the use of words. These advanced abilities transitioned seamlessly into her current practice.
Ms. Ubinas has a unique insight into using food as medicine. Her personal experience as a vegetarian for most of her life has shown her the benefits of purposeful food choices, based on the individual person, for ideal health. As a health coach she emphasizes the fact that there is no one-size-fits-all diet.
Jenny believes that the best results are achieved by taking a holistic approach to wellness. Combining acupuncture with Chinese herbs, supplements, a healthy diet, and a sensible lifestyle, she guides her patients towards whole body health. The most important aspect that Ms. Ubinas brings to the treatment room is her willingness to listen to a patient’s individualized concerns and her ability to craft individualized treatment plans to address them.
In addition to practicing Oriental medicine Jenny loves cooking, running, hiking, practicing Reiki and exploring spirituality. She continues to work in the veterinary field helping animals whenever she can.
